NICOLE

More Than a Photographer—A Storyteller at Heart.

Hi there! I’m Nicole, a 90s kid who grew up surrounded by disposable cameras, bad Tumblr aesthetics, and the occasional very cringey VSCO girl moment (yes, I had a collection of duck face poses and flashy mirror pics). But what stuck with me the most from those days wasn’t just the filter-heavy photos—it was the magic of capturing a moment, freezing time, and telling a story through an image.

My photography journey started at a young age when my mom gifted me a disposable camera to take with me to summer camp. Little did I know that those simple snapshots would spark a lifelong passion. Fast forward to college, where I was originally majoring in Psychology (no, really!) until a chat with a Communications advisor turned my world upside down. He told me I had a talent for both creative writing and photography, and before I knew it, I was shooting for the college newspaper. That was my first paid gig, and I haven’t looked back since.

In 2018, I had the incredible opportunity to work as a camp photographer at Camp of the Rising Son, where I learned how to capture raw, candid moments. That experience opened my eyes to the beauty of real, unposed emotion—the kind that makes photographs feel alive.

After college, I jumped into digital marketing at an insurance agency, all while growing my photography business on the side. And in April 2023, I took the leap and became a full-time photographer. It’s been an exciting ride full of growth, learning, and, of course, capturing the moments that matter most.

I’m here to bring your memories to life, whether they’re big milestones or small, everyday joys. Thanks for stopping by, and I can't wait to tell your story!

My dad’s parents met in high school in the 50's. My grandmother, the class valedictorian and yearbook editor—voted "most likely to succeed"—tutored my grandfather, who was voted “most handsome” and “most athletic.” It’s hard to imagine two people more different, yet somehow, they were exactly what each other needed. They spent 56 beautiful years together, a love story that truly stands the test of time.

My Dad’s Parents

My mom’s parents were married for 50 years, until my grandmother passed in 2018. They had a sweet tradition where my grandfather would buy her a fresh bouquet of flowers every month, a simple but sincere gesture of his love. Now, even after she’s gone, he continues that tradition, placing a new bouquet by her graveside each month and a Christmas tree there every year.

My Mom’s Parents

My parents married in 1995. My dad had just undergone a heart transplant, and through it all, my mom never left his side. She became his strength, his inspiration to keep going—he often said she was "an angel sent to him from God." They spent ten incredible years together, before my dad passed away from cancer in 2005. Their bond was a testament to the power of love, and it’s something I carry with me every day.

My  Parents

My husband and I met shortly after he enlisted in the Army National Guard. We only dated for three months before he was sent off to Basic Training and AIT. During one of my visits, while he was training at Virginia Beach, he proposed—something that still feels like a dream. We’d only been together for ten months in total, but we knew what we had was something special. In July of 2019, we got married. Some might call it crazy, but when you know, you just know. And honestly, it was the best decision I’ve ever made.
